Eurasia Development at the Pujiang Innovation Forum 2014 in Shanghai

Leading specialists from Eurasia Development, headed by the company’s CEO Andrey Prokhorovich, took part in the International Pujiang Innovation Forum 2014 (Pujiang Innovative Forum).
During the forum and related roundtable discussions, Eurasia Development held a series of successful negotiations with leading technology centers in China, innovative companies and Russian research universities.
Agreements on strategic partnerships in the field of innovation consulting were signed, and terms of cooperation were discussed with Russian Venture Company (RVC), the Scientific and Production Center for Magnetohydrodynamics (SPC MHD), Grid-Engineering LLC, Omsk State Technical University (OmSTU), Shanghai Fenglian Investment & Management Fund (SHFI) and others.
During a meeting between the CEO of Eurasia Development and Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko, opportunities for Russia-China cooperation in new technologies were discussed, including seawater desalination, seafood farming and alternative energy sources for implementation in Russian regions.
About the Pujiang Innovation Forum 2014
The forum was organized by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology in Shanghai. This year, Russia was granted the status of the event’s main guest of honor.
Russia was represented at the forum by heads of ministries and government agencies, rectors and vice-rectors of leading universities, prominent scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences and state research centers. The delegation also included representatives of development institutions — Russian Venture Company (RVC), the Skolkovo Foundation and Technopark, the VEB Innovations Fund, as well as a number of Russia’s most successful innovative companies.
Assistant to the President Andrey Fursenko, who headed the Russian delegation, delivered a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the head of state proposed priority areas for cooperation with China.
“Russia and China possess unique economic potential and extensive experience of working together in various fields. Today, it is important to advance cooperation, stimulate mutual investment, actively launch intensive innovation projects and expand opportunities for direct contacts between representatives of the business community,” the President’s message stated.
In turn, Chinese President Xi Jinping also emphasized in his address the need to expand bilateral cooperation, which “meets the interests of the socioeconomic development of both countries.”
