Eurasia Development Team Takes Part in an ESG Conference in China Held under the Auspices of China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment

An ESG conference held under the auspices of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China took place in Shenzhen.

The conference brought together a strong group of participants, including senior executives from leading rating agencies and stock exchanges in China, sustainability directors from major Chinese private and state-owned corporations, and other industry leaders.

The Eurasia Development Group team took part in the event, while Andrey Prokhorovich, Managing Partner of ED Group, spoke as the conference’s second keynote speaker.

He presented the prospects for cooperation with Russia and outlined four key areas identified by ED Group:
1. Export of Russian products that help reduce China’s carbon footprint, including natural gas, hydrogen, electricity, low-carbon metals and other products.
2. Transfer of green technologies from China to Russia.
3. Green finance, an area with significant potential for cooperation between Russia and China.
4. Harmonization of ESG standards, ratings and product certification to facilitate the implementation of joint green projects and support investment growth.

Chinese participants expressed interest in cooperation across all four areas.
