ED Group Partners with GIC 2022, a Conference of Leading International Experts on Talent Development

Experts from 20 countries will share regional experience and best practices in education development at the Global Impact Conference 2022 (GIC 2022).

The international conference will take place on Thursday, December 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mayak Academy in Nizhny Novgorod and will also be broadcast online.

The theme of the conference is “Education X as a Catalyst for the Future.” Its goal is to bring together experts from different countries to discuss effective tools for expanding access to high-quality education in regions and among population groups where such opportunities remain limited.

Eurasia Development Group is an official partner of GIC 2022. Andrey Prokhorovich, Managing Partner of Eurasia Development Group, will take part in the “Green Careers: Towards a Sustainable Future” session.
More than 30 experts in education will also take part in the event, representing India, China, Russia, Türkiye, the UAE, Oman, Armenia, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, as well as countries across Latin America and Africa.
Speakers include:
  • Tatiana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at Rosatom State Corporation;
  • His Excellency Professor Abdullatif Al Shamsi, former Chancellor and President of the Higher Colleges of Technology and founder of MetaVersity;
  • Francisca Nneka Okeke, the first female Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences at the University of Nigeria;
  • Vladimir Konyshev, Founder and CEO of Neurobotics;
  • Dr. Nazir Jogezai, PhD, educator and writer, Education Innovation Lab at HSE University, Pakistan;
  • Hilal Al Jadidi, Director of Human Capital Development at Oman Tourism Development Company;
  • Zhao Zhongyuan, Director of the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center;
  • Princess Mthombeni, Founder of the Africa4Nuclear Foundation, South Africa;
  • and other experts.
In addition to expert discussions, the GIC 2022 program will include the final round and announcement of the winner of an international competition for innovative education projects.

GIC will also host a meeting of participants in the international youth initiative Impact Team 2050, which will present the EducationX analytical report on how young people in different countries perceive the current limitations of education systems and what solutions could make education more attractive to younger generations, with a particular focus on engineering disciplines.

The GIC 2022 program will also feature innovative approaches to school education, case studies of successful corporate universities, discussions and roundtables involving experts whose own careers demonstrate the opportunities created by lifelong learning.

This year’s conference will be held in Nizhny Novgorod, one of Russia’s leading science and education centers, at the new campus of Rosatom’s corporate university, the Mayak Academy.
Global Impact Conference (GIC) is an international platform bringing together experts in sustainable development to identify solutions to key socioeconomic development challenges.

Last year, more than 750,000 viewers from 30 countries watched the live discussions on partnerships for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The GIC 2022 online broadcast will be available on the conference website on December 1 from 9:00 a.m. Moscow time.
