ED Group Managing Partner Andrey Prokhorovich Speaks at the Skolkovo Regions: Space for Technology Leaders Conference

On March 19, the 6th Skolkovo Regions: Space for Technology Leaders conference was held at Skolkovo Technopark in Moscow, bringing together more than 500 representatives of government, high-tech businesses, investors, technology parks, and research and educational centers.

Andrey Prokhorovich, Managing Partner of Eurasia Development Group, was one of the speakers at the session “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once: A Guide to Entering Global Markets,” which focused on strategies for startups and technology companies seeking to enter promising markets in Asia and the MENA region.
Andrey shared his extensive experience in technology transfer and doing business in China, emphasizing the importance of adapting to local conditions when entering the Chinese market. He also presented examples of successful partnerships and highlighted common mistakes made by Russian companies in Asia.
The session also featured Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; Oleg Movsesyan, CEO of the MSU Science Park; Khabib Abdullaev, CEO of the Navoi Free Economic Zone; and Denis Dmitriev, Founder of the UDMPAY payment service.

Dmitry Kurochkin spoke about the support measures offered by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to technology companies, covering a broad range of instruments from legal assistance and product certification to the organization of business missions and establishment of partnerships.

Oleg Movsesyan presented the international initiatives of the MSU Science Park, its experience in organizing China-Russia innovation competitions, and the advantages of the BRICS Incubator in Xiamen.

Khabib Abdullaev presented the Navoi Free Economic Zone as a key hub for Russian companies seeking to enter Central Asian markets. He highlighted the main advantages of localization in Uzbekistan, including tax and customs benefits, developed infrastructure, and export support programs. Particular emphasis was placed on simplified procedures for startups and manufacturing projects.

Denis Dmitriev presented a comprehensive business solution based on payment only for actual transactions and shared plans to integrate the platform with foreign payment systems.
