On May 31–June 1, 2018, Moscow hosted Startup Village, the largest startup and innovation conference in Russia and the CIS.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Super Sapiens. The Incredible Tech.”
The event was truly large-scale: 15,000 participants from 80 countries, including 430 speakers and 195 jury members from 30 countries. A total of 150 events were held, while 230 semifinalists’ pitches were presented as part of the startup competition, selected from 800 applications.
Andrey Prokhorovich, CEO of Eurasia Development Ltd., took part in the conference and shared the latest information on the state of China’s high-tech sector. He also addressed several common stereotypes that tend to arise when audiences hear the term “Chinese innovation.”
Despite the strict presentation format, Andrey’s speech helped participants gain a more comprehensive understanding of developments in China.
In addition, several projects reconsidered their approach to cooperation with China and expressed interest in ED’s services for promoting startups in the Chinese market under the “Tech Export to China” program.
