The cooperation will include the regular preparation of joint analytical products — from thematic digests and monitoring reports to industry reviews, research studies and expert materials. Particular attention will be paid to markets, technologies, the regulatory environment and socioeconomic developments in China and other countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
“The cooperation agreement with FEFU is an opportunity to combine the academic expertise of one of Russia’s leading centers of competence on Asia with our practical experience working with Chinese technology and investment businesses. Today, Russia–China cooperation requires not only a deep understanding of the markets and business cultures of both countries, but also professionals capable of turning this knowledge and intellectual capital into concrete projects. I am confident that our partnership will create new opportunities for training such specialists, developing applied expertise and implementing joint initiatives with China. By combining our infrastructure, we accelerate the pace,” emphasized
Andrey Prokhorovich, CEO of Eurasia Development Group.
“Today, a deep understanding of Asia is becoming an important prerequisite for the development of science, technology and international cooperation. At FEFU, we are developing expertise in Asian studies and combining it with applied research to better understand the dynamics of the region and identify new opportunities for the Russian Far East and Russia as a whole. Cooperation with Eurasia Development will strengthen this area and make up-to-date analysis of China and the Asia-Pacific region more accessible to businesses, government institutions and the academic community,” said
Boris Korobets, Rector of FEFU.
Under the agreement, the parties plan to publish monthly information and analytical digests covering key events and developments in China, including industry reviews, analysis of macroeconomic indicators, technology trends and risks associated with the development of individual markets. The materials will be aimed at businesses and investors already working with China or considering entering the Chinese market, as well as government organizations and institutions seeking up-to-date expertise on China. The materials are also expected to be used in the university’s educational process — in teaching, research activities and the training of students studying the economies, technologies and international relations of Asia-Pacific countries.
In August, Eurasia Development Group and FEFU published their first joint
analytical digest, covering key developments in China’s economy, government policy, international relations, technologies and major industries. Its main objective is not simply to report events taking place in China, but to identify significant signals, explain why they matter and demonstrate their practical relevance for Russia.
The
FEFU Oriental Institute is one of Russia’s leading centers for Asian studies and has been training specialists capable of effectively developing international cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries for 126 years. The Institute’s main analytical unit is the FEFU Research and Education Center for Applied Oriental Studies,
Center for Asian Studies. The project is implemented under the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s
Priority 2030 program. At the request of government organizations and businesses, the Center’s experts prepare analytical materials on key topics including opportunities for Russia’s economic cooperation with Asian countries, high-technology collaboration, international logistics and the development of transport corridors.
Joint work with FEFU will enable us to broaden our analysis of China and work more deeply on industry, technology and regulatory developments. This expertise is used in Eurasia Development projects for companies that need to understand the dynamics of the Chinese market, assess new opportunities and make better-informed decisions when working with China.Read the original news release on the
