From May 22 to 25, 2017, the 2nd Annual Forum of the Silk Road Association of Science and Technology Parks and High and New Technology Zones (SRSPA) was held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
Eurasia Development Ltd. COO Lavrenty Klimov took part in the event.
This year, representatives of organizations from 15 countries attended the forum. The delegation from China was the largest, comprising 50 entrepreneurs and government officials from Shandong, Jiangsu and Guizhou provinces.
During the forum, delegates held a working meeting of the Association, at which new SRSPA members were admitted. Participants discussed prospects for future cooperation and issues related to the development of science and innovation. They also visited the Belarusian Industrial Forum 2017, familiarized themselves with the experience of the China-Belarus Industrial Park “Great Stone”, and visited the BELAZ plant and the High-Tech Park.
A networking session was also held as part of the forum, allowing representatives of organizations from different countries to find partners and conduct negotiations.
The Silk Road Association of Science and Technology Parks and High and New Technology Zones (SRSPA) was established in 2016. Its first forum was held in Yantai, China. At the time of publication, the organization had 48 members from 12 countries.
The 3rd SRSPA Forum was scheduled to take place as part of the international Technoprom technology development forum in Novosibirsk in 2018.
